What is the mood of this novel? Do you find this novel saddens you in any way? Why?
The mood of this novel seems a bit mysterious and exciting at the same time. A group of boys were stranded on an island because things went wrong and their plane could not reach its destination. So a group of boys who aren't even teenagers are stranded on an island with no adults and they have to figure out how to survive all alone in the island. They keep finding others who are also stranded and choose a leader. This novel does sadden me because all of these boys are stranded on an island without any adults and they don't even know what has become of their own parents. For all they know, their parents could have died in the war that was being fought.
